Aqueel...the soil erosion solution
There are very few farms in the UK that are not affected by soil erosion, by water or particularly wind. Wherever there is the slightest slope, there is soil erosion. Wherever there are totally flat fields there is wind erosion.
Aqueel makes a major contribution to combating the effects of both of these serious problems. Serious erosion is evident on slopes with as little as a 3 percent fall, which puts the majority of the arable land in England at some risk. The unique properties of the indentations on flat fields, create an uneven surface across the whole field which significantly reduces wind erosion.
The eddying effect of the Aqueel indentations reduces the ability of the wind to hold soil particles. These airborne particles are encouraged to fall back to earth as the wind passes over the indented surface. Additionally, these vortices minimise the abililty of the wind to pick up particles from the consolidatetd surface.

The Aqueel is a revolutionary roller that is valued by existing users for two main assets
Non Stick Roller
The Aqueel is made from a durable, micro-cellular polyurethane material that compresses as it contacts the ground, but resumes its original shape as it releases from it. This enables it to shrug off any soil picking up on it, so it 'runs clean' and does not need scrapers, which makes it ideal as the rolling element of power harrow combination drills. Farmers using it in this role report higher output because the down-time spent unblocking, adjusting and replacing scraper blades is greatly reduced.
In autumn 2004, when damp conditions meant many farmers using conventional steel rollers were unblocking scrapers or parked up completely, those using Aqueels could complete drilling in a timely fashion and avoid working late into the autumn - thus helping them comply with the Cross Compliance conditions of the reformed CAP.
Despite these damp conditions, one user reported that - after doing over 1,000 acres of drilling - the Aqueel left the field "looking like it had just been pressure-washed".
The Aqueel has proved itself to be very durable, with low wear rates reported wherever it is used - even on two farms where there are the remains of brickworks!

Simba DD Ring:
Simba's DD Press Rings set the standard for pressing efficiency and remain unique both in their design (which is patented) and their performance.
The rings have a self-sharpening cutting edge mounted on a broad, carefully angled shoulder. This enables them to cut clods effectively, crushing the parted halves so they disintegrate, while also contacting over 80% of the soil surface so they consolidate and level the seedbed, leaving a ridged, weather-proof surface. As a result they do not lose their efficancy as cast rings do. In addition, the DD has no spokes so is not so prone to blockages caused by stones kicking up and getting stuck between spokes and pillars etc. Its broad shoulder enables it to run on top of lighter soils and consolidate them, rather than sinking into them as cast rings tend to do.
Four types of ring are now available:
550mm - used in the Horsch Pronto drill; X-Presses and the like; a smaller, lighter ring which does the same job as its bigger 'brothers' behind smaller/medium equipment, and as the integral roller on Pronto drills.
550mm light - a lighter format of the DD ring, but retaining the levelling and consolidation properties of the larger rings - for light land consolidation and for use with mounted machinery.
600mm - the standard ring for double presses etc, in which arrangement they contact the vast majority of the soil surface, so providing optimum consolidation, levelling and weather-proofing.
700mm - widely used on single presses or behind sub-soilers etc. Their large rolling diameter minimises power requirement, making them ideal as the final pressing element of a wide range of cultivators, sub soilers etc.

Simba DD Lite:
Utilising the unique features of the DD Rings the DD lite Roller is light weight (130 kgs per metre) and simple in construction. This makes the roller ideal for mounted machines on lower H.P. tractors.
Incorporating the unique axle tensioning system with rubber spacers between the DD Rings allows the roller to ‘self-adjust’ as it wears therefore maintaining its effectiveness. Spacing & rubber space elements offers superior surface consolidation allied to adequate firming to depth on shallower cultivated soils.
Applications: Stubble cultivators, disc harrows, subsoilers, tined cultivators.
Weight per metre: 130kgs.
