Cam Rollers
:
Flexible and Efficient
A cam roller fitted behind the soil packer increases the efficiency of seedbed preparation. The reversible combination soil packer leaves a fine crumb soil structure on well-packed ground.
The single or double soil packer can be combined with a 550mm diameter cam roller. With a conventional plough soil packer, the cam roller is coupled via a towing shaft and eye. Use behind a reversible plough requires a change-over mechanism so the packer can be moved around the cam roller when reversing plough direction.
Well Consolidated Seedbed
A spring arm distributes a greater or lesser load to the cam roller according to the ground conditions. For this the coupling arm is equipped with a spring bundle and the pick-up arms deployed. The cam rings run in the gaps between the packer rings. This ensures production of a suitably level, consolidated seedbed with optimal crumb structure.
Scrapers Prevent Soil Clogging
With many soils, drilling can take place directly behind the reversible-packer, without requiring any further seedbed preparation. Scrapers mounted between the cam rings prevent soil clogging.
Three Point Linkage For Easy Transport
For road transport, roller support wheels are folded down mechanically. The packer is then coupled to the tractor via a three-point linkage and the cam roller runs behind.
Hydraulic Transport Set Available
An hydraulic transport set for the single and double soil packer and a compact transport set are both available as options. Mounting optional levelling tines to the front of the cam roller synchronises yet another operation, saving more time and money. Both single and double soil packers can be equipped as reversible combination soil packers.
