Pearson ROBOTECH Technology a trading name of Richard Pearson Ltd are pleased to announce the appointment of Burdens Group Horticulture to be responsible for UK Sales and Marketing of their range of automatic transplanters. The AutoPlanter technology developed by Pearson ROBOTECH is already well proven in the UK marketplace having completed 8000 acres over the past 5 years – it has proven to be very reliable and has found success in a wide variation of climatic and soil conditions during this time. With new Pearson AutoPlanter developments coming available this season Phillip Bosworth (Marketing & Sales Director) said the timing was ideal for choosing Burdens Horticulture as their partner for the UK market.

Pearson has over 50 years experience in the design, manufacture and marketing of a range of agricultural machinery which is sold worldwide. The ROBOTECH AutoPlanter is the outcome of a 7 year development programme. Burdens Horticulture has close to 40 years experience of meeting the needs of the horticultural marketplace and is committed to understanding customer requirements and not only supplies the equipment but also offers excellent after-sales service.
The ROBOTECH AutoPlanter is capable of handling a range of standard module trays with varying cell sizes to transplant brassica, leek and celery crops [plus tomato & pepper outside UK] with row widths from 25cm, plant spacing from 3cm and planter configuration from 2 to 12 rows. The plant selection technology sensing at 4 plants per second per row is capable of identifying blank cells resulting in plant stands approaching 100% and without selection up to 5.5 plants per sec per row is achievable. All data recorded during the transplanting process can be downloaded via remote access to be part of a farm traceability system.
