Cultipress
:
Cultivation for medium to heavy soils
Simba's CultiPress combines several well-proven Simba elements to complete three actions in one pass - cultivating, levelling and consolidating the seedbed, and leaving a weatherproof finish that is often ready for drilling with no further cultivation. This range is more suitable for use on heavy ground.
Best run at high working speeds, the CultiPress - available in working widths from 3.3m to 10m - offers users the optimum combination of effectiveness and timeliness, helping them achieve highly effective cultivations, combined with high output and excellent cost control. The first element of the CultiPress is a set of Simba's cultivating tines. Rigid tines which can be individually adjusted using 6 different height settings so the level of cultivation can be matched to needs (not available on the 8 & 10m versions).
ProActive Tines are now standard, these being mounted on a 150mm x 12mm leaf that offers greater vibration and cultivating effect (although these are standard on the 8 & 10m machines).
The tines are followed by a full width, fully hydraulically adjustable levelling board with extended leaves which intermesh with the two rows of 600mm DD Rings, in a highly effective arrangement patented by Simba, but being used by other manufacturers under licence.
Working at speed, the leading tines create a boiling action in which many clods are shattered by clod-to-clod contact.
Others are shattered by the levelling board, and any remaining are positioned by the intermeshing levelling boards directly ahead of the DD Rings. These DD Rings are 'in line' allowing weight to be transferred rearward for greater single gang loadings if required in very hard dry conditions.
The implement is highly flexible in its range of potential uses: It can be used as a final press on top of ploughing or in tandem behind Disc Harrows or Solo Cultivators or pulling a Cambridge Roll as a finishing tool.
